Learning about the Radio Controlled model tank hobby?
Hi,
I am interested in learning about the R/C model tank hobby. Does anyone know of a good web site for the beginner? I have seen large 1/16Th scale model tanks on eBay, and the price ranges are from 65 dollars to well over 1,000 dollars. Some of these model tanks can be equipted to play war games, and it looks like fun. Is anyone out there knowlageble about this hobby? I am almost 50 years old now, no Wife, no kids. And have the time, and money for hobbies now. I have an entrust in all of the R/C hobbies, but can’t find any web sites about R/C tanks. Does anybody have any good info, or suggestions? And please don’t answer grow-up, I’ve done that for 1/2 my life, now it’s time to be a kid again!

but tanks tough fun are not stocked well in hobby shops and are hard to find parts for. I suggest trucks or airplane because of their popularity parts an other items are easy to come by. I prefer Tamiya or Traxxas brands because of there durability.
I had a Traxxas stampede i jumped it 8 feet into the air and did not damage it. Visit your local hobby shop they either have what you are looking for or they can order it.
