How to build a simple RC plane with spare parts?
I had a beginners RC plane that took a couple of hard landing and the plastic frame is broken. However, the motors still work and the remote still works. I want to avoid buying a new plane if there is a simple way to build a new plane from a hobby shop. It is a simple 2 channel plane with two motors. The motors are what cause the plane to move left or right and up or down. Can I use some kind of foam? Thank you for your help
My suggestion is to use the both engines for thrust (one propeller in each one). As you say the motors used as directional system caused the crash. I have never seen aircraft models with 2 channel R/C.
But I give a glance to my youth, when I started in aircraft modeling, the UC aircraft models.Then, was used
only the engine. With 2 channels (you keep the engine full powered) and keep the 2 channels for elevator and rudder. For a good flight you need 4 channels.
The rest you may build of isopor (or EVA, the better, because is tougher). EVA is the kind of isopor that we find in the litter, that comes when we buy an electronic stuff, a computer for instance.
When you are ready with the isopor (EVA) parts you may cover it with a light fabric, but keep in mind that
your aim is the lesser weight.
