Radio Control Robot Parts

Anyone know anything about radio controlled devices? Looking for a transmitter for Mr. Christmas Serving Santa
“robot” . I called Mr. Christmas 800 number and they say they don’t make it anymore and will call me back. UPC code is 23401. Date code is K32. Inside the unit , the little round parts say “Orient NP 10 uF 85 degrees C” and “Jackcon (M) 40 85 degrees C”. Any hope of finding an inexpensive transmitter to make this move?
I was thinking that maybe (M) 40 might mean 40 Mhz transmitter for a toy that uses 40 Mhz might work? They have them fairly cheap on ebay with cars, etc.
Any R/C hobby shop will carry all kinds of gear that could be used to repair it (or even build a new one from scratch
Sadly, the problem is going to be your level of technical expertise.
My best suggestion would be to contact the ARRL and mayhaps you can find a local ham (Hint: look for who gives exams in your area for a contact) that could help with either repairing the existing xciever units or might enjoy the challenge of replacing them with something different.
Here’s a link to the ARRL website, they’re even civilized and don’t require massive bandwidth to play with most of the site
http://www.arrl.org
BTW; the “little round parts” are most likely 10 microfarad capacitors. I’d give more help but I’m not familiar with device or local to you.
And NO I will *not* give out my call sign or other membership info
Sorry I can’t be of more service to you!
