Converted Quad to rc?
I have converted a mini moto90cc cc quad to radio controlled and was using it on a open grass area when a policeman arrested me for driving a motorised vehicle without mot tax insurance or license. But i was not riding it as such Is this right . I am 17 and live in manchester UK
You need to seak advice form your local modelers club..
This is because large model aircraft need a special certificate of airworthyness and as such a “sort” of pilots licence.. Your Radio Controlled Quad might be considered in this Catagory of models…
You do not have to be “driving or Riding” a vehicle to be in control of it.
Were you sat on it?
Was it running
Was it able to be driven/ ridden?
Pushing a powered vehicle even if it wasn’t running you need to have a valid licence and insurance and taxation.
