Raging the road with radio-controlled trucks is an addictive hobby. Basically, the Traxxas Bandit is a ready-to-run, electric-powered 1/10 scale two-wheel-drive buggy. It is one of the most popular Traxxas models because of its durability and versatility; the fact that it is a buggy means it run on all kinds of terrain. Its inner parts deliver solid, long-lasting performance and durability, from the handling to the top speed. Aside from that, its standard parts can also be upgraded so as to exceed its factory specifications. For those venturing into the radio-controlled racing world, or even for the veteran enthusiasts, the Traxxas Bandit is an excellent choice. It’s great fun for all racers.
The exterior features first. Traxxas Bandit is 16.25 inches long, has 7 inches of height and weighs 48 ounces. Its fully finished and trimmed body is done using ProGraphix, a method of body painting which produces an impressive graphic design of crisp coloring, smooth fades, clean lines. It is available with different visual styles and different color schemes. It is ready-to-run, because no other painting or trimming are required. This radio-controlled buggy uses the industry standard 2.2 inch mirror-chrome Tracer wheels, and it is so designed to allow more upgrades in the future.
Under the hood, the Traxxas Bandit is equipped with a powerful electric 20-turn Stinger 540 motor, which is said to be 30% faster than most stock motors. But what it really boasts is its XL-1 electronic speed control, which has almost become legendary because of its durability and high-level performance. It draws power from 6 or 7 cell battery pack, yet the XL-1′s proportional control is so designed to allow a reduced power output of 50%. The Traxxas Bandit runs with Magnum 272 transmission, bellcrank steering and planetary differential type. As for the top speed, this radio-controlled buggy has a top speed of up to 30 mph.
Built with superb engineering and design, the Traxxas Bandit‘s inner parts and electronics are sealed in a watertight and waterproof enclosure. A testimony of the radio-controlled truck’s durability, it can then run and rage even in puddles, mud, sand and snow.
