Radio Control Lighting
at night when i turn on my headlights my dashboard backlight, radio, and heater control knobs don’t light up?
i just bought a used 2001 chrysler sebring sedan (during the afternoon) and everything seemed to work fine until i brought it home and tried to go somewhere after dark. i started up and the usual seatbelt, battery, engine, and indicator lights flashed and went out like normal, but when i turned on the headlights the whole dashboard backlight, radio, and heater knobs don’t illuminate!!! i checked, the fuses are good and the radio is still factory. i turned the slider knob on the turn signal lever nothing happens accept when i turn it all the way up the dome light comes on but thats it. can somebody please help me to know what the problem is? thank you.
Make sure FIRST that the taillight are coming on.
Then check the dashlights dimmer switch to make sure it is all the way up, but not too far as it will turn on the interior ceiling light.
The dashlights run off of the parking light circuit, then thru it own little fuse, then to the dashlights dimmer switch, then to the lights.
