Radio Control Gas Powered Cars
My car’s gas pedal and meters stopped while driving w/ cruise control on the highway?
I drive a 2001 Infiniti G20t. I was coming home from work last night, going about 60-65MPH on the highway with Cruise Control on as I normally do.
All of the sudden, the speedometer and tachometer dropped to 0, the gas pedal is unresponsive, the power steering stops working.
But the car is still moving forward, the car is still in Drive gear, and the engine is still moving but not accelerating. The power is still on (including the radio) and the brakes are still working.
I got over to the side of the highway and let the car roll to a stop. As I braked to stop, every light in the car shut off at once. I put the car back into Park and turned the key. The car started right back up immediately and I drove home.
The car seems to be running fine, I got home without any problems. I even drove to work today without any problem at all. My only thought is maybe it was some sort of computer failure? Any thoughts on what would’ve happened?
