How to make an RC plane from scratch ?
I want to make an RC plane from scratch. I don’t want one of those small paper foam ones. I want to create my own using plastic, wood or anything light. I have tried everything and I cant get a “how to guide” on how. If I wanted to rescale an existing plane’s “blueprints” or so to speak to create a radio controlled plane. How would I do that? Im not sure of the tools I will need such as the wires and where to get or how to make a motor. How would a remote control the airplane after I build it from scratch? and Where would I make or get a remote for the RC that will work? The last thing I need is how to create the plane.

As for real answers, building from scratch may be difficult if you have never done it before. I would recommend some type of kit. Along with the plastic foam ones that you mentioned not wanting, they are also available with balsa wood construction. This will come with all the wood needed, it will come with a lot of the connection rods for the control surfaces, instructions for assembly, and a blueprint/assembly drawing for checking things against for accuracy. Along with a kit, you will need glues, some hobby knives (like X-Acto brand), sandpaper, and a project board to construct it on top of.
