How to create and edit video clips for PC?
I have a digital camera that takes short video clips, but I would like to purchase something that can be used for longer videos.
I would like something small and lightweight that doesn’t use tapes (I already have a camcorder), is easy to use with nice editing features and easy to upload to the internet.
This will mainly be used to film radio control airplane flights so a zoom feature would be nice.

I guess I don’t like the tapes because I no longer use a VCR. And I do not see in the instruction book, for my camcorder, how to hook it up to a computer – only a TV.
Whats wrong with tapes?…
There are camcorders that uses harddiscs and DVD disc to record video but they are hardly an advantage over videotapes when it comes to weight and size. There are actually cellphones (like the K810i from Sony Ericsson) that can do what you want. They record on memorycard, have videoediting with effects (in the phone!) and naturally can upload to the internet. Either directly or via Bluetooth (or cable) to your computer first. The K810i weighs 3.7 oz (103.5 grammes).
One other option should interest r/c flyers. A camera mounted on the plane… I´ve seen them at r/c fares where the camera is basically the size of a coin. It then sends the video down to a reciever via microwaves where it can be recorded any way you choose. Slightly more complicated but cool.
