Model Radio Control Circuits

How do I increase output power of a two way radio?
I have a motorola CLS 1110 (just type that into google to pull that model up, it is discontinued but still around). It has a 1 watt tx output. I would like to know what to adjust, change, or replace in the circuit board to gain some tx watts out of the existing radio. Or would it not be in the circuit board that controls tx output? I know antenna modifications can increase range, and increasing the tx power can shorten battery life and possibly not comply with FCC regulations, but that is not the point of this project. If any electronics expert out there knows how I could modify this to get a few more watts of output power, or if you can step me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanks! And let me know anything you know about this.
Power output is a function of design. There is not such thing as as “limiter” to keep output power down. In order to increase power, you either need to re-design the radio, with pretty much all new components, or you need to physically wire the output stage into an external transmitter amplifier.
Either way, you’ll be in violation of FCC regulations regarding broadcast power and range. And the fines are very nasty. (I’ve never heard of prison time, except for terrorist activity involved in, say, jamming airline navigation or communications systems near flight paths.)
