Model Airplane Simulator
Do turboprops generate so much power that it starts to roll when releasing the brakes and no throttle imput?
I`m asking this because turboprops are modeled this way in Flight Simulator X. As soon as you release the brakes the plane starts to roll as if shot out of a cannon! And all this without even touching the throttle. I understand that wieght is a deciding factor but I had my airplane fully loaded with fuel, luggage and pax and still proved to be light on it`s feet. Is it the same with the real deal?

Not generally. The props on turbo-prop craft can be set to 0% pitch and can run wide open and not move. This is not generally done as a practice, unless you have Garrett engines that operate about 90% RPM at ground idle speed, as it takes a lot of fuel on the ground. As soon as all the monitors are set to go, the brakes are released and they go.
