Model Airplane Instructions

A few questions about building an Ultralight airplane?
I know this is engineering (which will soon be my major btw
), but I figured I would have a good chance of finding someone who’s built one of these before in this section. Anyway, here’s my questions:
1) How much money can I expect to spend (plans, parts, tools, etc.) for a fairly basic model?
2) How much time will it take an average person with little experience in this type of area?
3) How much money will it cost me to get some professional instruction about how to fly it?
4) What do you think would be a good kit for a newbie?
Thanks guys!!
Look, there are absolutely hundreds of designs available, for ultralight aircraft of many types and sizes!
I think if you wish to fly, you should reverse the order of things. Go out to wherever ultralights are flown in your area, and you are bound to find ultralight flying schools. You enrol, you pay, you learn to fly.
While so doing, you will learn all sorts of things about ultralights and the types of ultralights.
Note however, you need to be a minimum age in most places, if not all. Probably 16 years.
Also, if you ever had plans to upgrade to a private pilots’ license, you should train in an ultralight of standard “3- axis” control setup. It saves wasting time in kite- winged and other such ultralight aircraft, that are unlike “real” aircraft.
Learning ultralight piloting should be considerably cheaper than general aviation aircraft, with less stringent requirements.
