Flying Model Airplanes Balsa

Plastic Model Aircraft
Let us discuss a few reasons why plastic model aircraft are a good choice. Today we live in a society where everything is disposable and plastic. We even have plastic model aircraft.
In days gone by all radio controlled airplanes were made out of balsa wood. The disadvantage of balsa wood is the fact that it breaks so easily. Thats why plastic model aircraft make so much sense. It is now possible to build a model airplane out of normal everyday material that you can get in a hardware store. I have found that these airplanes are a way better option than going out and buying a balsa wood kit plane that will be totally destroyed within the first few crashes.
Now you have a few options when choosing the plastic material that you want to use when building your plane, but a good material I have found is called corex or fluteboard. this material is both robust and easy to work with. I have flown a few models made out of this material and they all perform very well and look great.
With a little thought and planning you can build a model airplane that performs as well, if not better than the ones that you buy in the hobby shops but you do not have the stress and cost involved in flying an expensive RC plane.
You may be asking yourself, ” well I will never be able to build a model aircraft?” Do not worry. There are loads of plans as well as online courses on the internet that will teach you all you need to know about building and flying your own homebuilt plastic model aircraft.
